Identifying Caps and Puck Lids in the Automounter Dewar

Puck IDs in Dewar

The dewar on the left is shown as it appears to the operator at X12B and X29 when the dewar lid is open. Pucks are loaded into positions A, B, C, and D. Labels are stenciled into the dewar casette and external labels on the dewar shroud give position indications on a closed dewar (not shown). Note the fat casette locating pin between A and D (arrow).
