  Puck Loading Key

Puck Key A puck has 16 crystal and cap wells arranged in two circles. The number 1 well is above the flat face of the lid guide pin slot. The number 6 well directly above 1. Well numbers increase counter-clockwise.

A useful feature that helps confirm puck orientation under liquid nitrogen is the notch between the 11 and 12 position. In the automounter dewar it engages the casette pin for angular puck orientation.
