Acknowledgements
It is very important to the future of funding for our facilities that the agencies who provide the money get proper acknowledgement for their support. In your publications reporting work done at beamlines supported by our NIH Research Resource and the DOE, please include an acknowledgement statement something like: "Data for this study were measured at beamline ___ of the National Synchrotron Light Source. Financial support comes principally from the Offices of Biological and Environmental Research and of Basic Energy Sciences of the US Department of Energy, and from the National Center for Research Resources of the National Institutes of Health."Then, please go on to acknowledge particular scientists who assisted you in your work. |

PDB Deposition
It is similarly important to future funding that there be a web-based electronic record of our productivity. If ANY data that resulted in a structure were derived from one of our beamlines, please include that in your PDB submission. If you are interested in the sort of information that is available from the PDB regarding beamline use look up the BioSync PDB Deposition statistics. |

Reporting of Publications
References are an important factor in continuing funding of the NSLS and are a necessary part of the Department of Energy reporting process. Therefore, we ask all users who have authored any publication on work performed in part or in whole at the NSLS to enter these references into the NSLS publications data base. Please visit the NSLS Publications page or proceed directly to the NSLS Publication Reference Submision Form. |
