X12-B Characteristics
Beamline X12-B exploits a bending magnet source focused by a collimating mirror and a bent focusing mirrror. A channel-cut Si(111) monochromator selects Xrays in the range of 5-20 keV (2.4-0.6Å) with the resolution required for multiwavelength anomalous diffraction measurements on macromolecular crystals. While crystallography is the routine mode of operation, X12-B also supports the occasional GISAXS work.
Monochromator Si(111)
Energy Range 5-20 keV
E-Resolution 5x10-4 (5eV)
Native Focus 0.4 x 0.3 mm
Flux at 1Å 2x1010 ph/s

The ADSC Quantum-4 CCD detector was upgraded in 2005 to achieve a readout time of 6s.
