Starting and Restarting the X25 EPICS IOC under Linux

Start x25-h EPICS IOC as pxuser

The EPICS IOC running under linux on x25-h can be started and restarted by pxuser as follows: x25-c_pxuser 1% ssh pxuser@x25-h.nsls.bnl.gov x25-h_pxuser 1% start_mgu Once the IOC is up and running the X25 MEDMs, and specifically the MGU Control MEDM will show populated value fileds. If this is not the case, or if a segmentation fault message appears, repeat the 'start_mgu' command. The window used to 'start_mgu' may be closed using its [x] field.

Start x25-h EPICS IOC as epics

The 'start_mgu' command for pxuser is a script by John Skinner that implements the full startup command sequence that user epics carries out. For the record, this command sequence is: x25-c_pxuser 1% ssh epics@x25-h.nsls.bnl.gov [epics@x25-h ~] cd /tftpboot/epics/x25-h/iocBoot/iocmgu [epics@x25-h ~] ./mgu.cmd Note that window used to launch the EPICS IOC must remain open to keep the process running.
