Setup of X25 Goniometer Head for Use of Kappa in Crystal Mounting

Xtal Setup

When mounting / unmounting your xtals using kappa, make sure you adjust the total lenght of your pin + post such that it stays in the field of view of the camera and most importantly in the cryostream. To easily orient the goniometer head, move omega -90 and kappa90. Loosen the screw and slide the post to the total desired lenght of 34 mm.

Collecting with kappa not zero

If you align your xtal to a specific orientation with a kappa offset, you need to put this value in the SET REALTIVE ZERO of the 'Collect' tab in cbass.
